Alban Zogaj, a deputy from the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), stated that Vetëvendosje (VV) lacks the necessary parliamentary numbers, and for this reason, LDK refuses to accept any blame for blocking the process.
“We are now facing a new reality where this government has publicly resigned, and yet, they continue to violate the law. We are preparing lawsuits against this,” Zogaj told Blic.
Zogaj emphasized that the issue of numbers was clear even on the day when the mandates report was voted, pointing out that Vetëvendosje initially secured only 52 votes and later 57 votes for the Speaker of Parliament — still insufficient for stable governance.
Regarding other political movements, Zogaj noted that Nisma has consistently abstained from votes, highlighting that their behavior in Parliament differs from other parties.
“I cannot declare anything on behalf of Nisma, but their voting behavior could indicate an opening for future discussions,” he said.
Zogaj further insisted that LDK has no grievances with any party, affirming that they remain committed solely to their own political positions.
“We demand fairness and will not allow LDK to be pointed at for obstruction. We are a party with 20 deputies, and we stand fully responsible for our positions,” Zogaj concluded.
