The deputy from the Egyptian Liberal Party, Veton Berisha, revealed details about the meeting he had today with the leader of the Self-Determination Movement (VV), Albin Kurti.

Berisha stated that he presented a program plan from the Egyptian Liberal Party to the Prime Minister and leader of VV.

He also mentioned that they are ready to take on ministerial positions, “and not only that.”

“We had a meeting this morning with the Prime Minister, Albin Kurti. This time, we are part of the Assembly of Kosovo. We received an invitation for a meeting from Kurti regarding the next steps after the election process. To discuss the new governance. Kurti has the first right to seek cooperation for the formation of the government. We are a parliamentary political party, with experience since 2014. We know why we are in politics, what the paths are, and how to act,” said Berisha for RTV Dukagjini.

He mentioned that their goal is to gain power in order to fulfill the demands of the Egyptian community they represent in the Assembly.

“We held a preliminary meeting and informed Kurti that we have no red lines with him. We haven’t had close ties with the Government because we haven’t been in power. We presented the program of the Egyptian Liberal Party. We also submitted a list of positions where we are interested in taking responsibility within the government and implementing that program. We have another meeting scheduled before the 15th,” he said.

“We have requested to also lead a ministry, and not only that. We have positions where we can influence government policies and other levels. We are interested in taking responsibility to shape the future of the Egyptians themselves,” Berisha declared.
