The European Union Office in Kosovo says that Russia has long sought to portray itself as a reliable partner and a source of stability beyond the West, but has failed to back up that image with its actions.
“Russia has long sought to present itself as a reliable partner and a source of stability beyond the West. But as pressure mounts, the gap between its promises and its actions is becoming increasingly difficult to ignore,” the EU Office in Kosovo said in a Facebook post.
According to the Office, many governments are now questioning whether a partnership with Russia remains a strategic and sustainable choice for the future.
“For many governments, the question today is whether partnership with Russia remains a strategic and sustainable choice for the future. A relationship built on instability, broken promises, and declining influence is increasingly looking less like a strategic asset and more like a strategic liability,” the post states.
