Excavation work has begun at a site in the village of Kalludër e Vogël, Zubin Potok, where authorities suspect the presence of a mass grave dating back to the 1998–1999 Kosovo war.
Images from the scene show members of the Kosovo Police securing the area as forensic operations get underway.
The operation also involves experts from the Institute of Forensic Medicine, who are conducting the excavation and examination process.
In addition, police officers from the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX) are present at the site, providing security support during the ongoing forensic examinations.
The excavation is part of continued efforts to clarify the fate of persons who remain missing from the Kosovo war. Authorities have not yet released information on whether any human remains have been discovered, and the investigation remains ongoing.
