The commander of the KFOR mission, Major General Enrico Barduani, met today with the French Ambassador, Olivier Guérot, and a delegation from the French Assembly.
The meeting took place at the KFOR Headquarters, Camp Film City in Pristina, according to IndeksOnline.
“During the visit, the KFOR commander shared his views on the current security situation across the region and emphasized KFOR’s efforts to provide a safe and secure environment for all people living in Kosovo and in support of the EU-facilitated dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade,” said the KFOR statement.
Barduani took the opportunity to thank Ambassador Guérot for France’s long-standing contributions, both in KFOR and in regional stability.
“KFOR continues to implement its mandate – based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999 – to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo and the freedom of movement, at all times and impartially.
KFOR works in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX) in their respective roles as security responders,” the statement reads.
