French Minister Delegate for Europe Benjamin Haddad has announced the start of his two-day visit to Kosovo, describing it as part of France’s broader effort to strengthen bilateral ties and deepen its engagement in the Western Balkans.
In a post on X, Haddad said he had arrived in Pristina to reinforce cooperation between France and Kosovo across several key areas.
“I have arrived in Kosovo for a two-day visit aimed at strengthening relations between our two countries. On the agenda: Francophonie, AFD investments, security cooperation, and regional issues,” Haddad wrote.
The French minister noted that the visit follows the working lunch held on March 17 between French President Emmanuel Macron and Kosovo’s Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti.
“This visit follows the working lunch between President Emmanuel Macron and Prime Minister Albin Kurti on March 17 and forms part of France’s strengthened commitment to the Western Balkans in support of the reunification of our European continent,” Haddad said.
Earlier in the day, Haddad met with Kosovo’s Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Glauk Konjufca. Following their bilateral meeting, the two officials held a joint press conference, where they discussed bilateral relations, regional cooperation, and Kosovo’s European integration ambitions.
