Iran carried out overnight attacks on Saudi Arabia for the first time in nearly three months, according to two sources who spoke to Reuters.

The strikes triggered early warning systems in Al Kharj, east of the Saudi capital Riyadh, as well as in Yanbu, on the Red Sea coast.

According to the sources, one of the attacks targeted Prince Sultan Air Base in Al Kharj, where U.S. military forces are also stationed.

Saudi state media confirmed that early warning sirens had been activated but did not provide details on the cause of the alerts or the potential impact of the attacks.

Meanwhile, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has neither confirmed nor publicly acknowledged carrying out any attack against Saudi Arabia.
