The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan, Kamikawa Yoko, has said that the economic development of Kosovo is essential, and according to her, since the declaration of statehood, Japan has continuously supported Kosovo’s state building.
On the occasion of her official visit to Kosovo, she said that the strengthening of relations between the two countries will have an even greater impact on the strengthening of the economic development of Kosovo.
“The economic development of Kosovo is essential for peace and stability in the region. In the economic field, concrete activities are also being developed in Kosovo. A Japanese company is actively expanding their operations in Europe from a base in Kosovo in the food sector.Furthermore, Expo Osaka-Kansai will be held next year and we have received the confirmation of the Kosovo government for participation. We are eager to work together to accelerate preparations to build momentum for the success of the Expo, using this opportunity to further deepen cooperation between our two countries. We hope that Kosovo’s participation in the Expo will show its charm, leading to new successful examples of business investments.
The Japanese government will continue to encourage and support the expansion of the activities of Japanese companies in this region, with the strong belief that the strengthening of our economic relations will contribute to the further development of the economic development of Kosovo, thus laying the foundations for peace and stability in the Western Balkan region”, she said.
