KFOR commander, General Ozkan Ulutash, in an activity held today, said that the events that happened last year in Kosovo have negatively affected the security situation in the region.

Ulutas in his speech said that for this reason, NATO has sent 1 thousand additional troops after the tensions. Speaking about the Turkish battalion, Ulutas said that the Turkish soldiers who have come as part of the additional forces are making a professional contribution and that will make a difference.

He also said that they are very well trained and that this gives confidence to the KFOR force.

“As you know, our commando battalion from Turkey is serving in the field of operations as a reserve unit. In the case of our Turkish battalion, our soldiers are making a contribution that will make a difference here in a professional, highly trained manner. This gives us confidence”, stated Ulutas.
