KFOR Reports Tractor Incident Near Kosovo–Serbia Border; Brothers Say They Were Cutting Wood

The Kosovo Police said they were informed by the German KFOR contingent on Tuesday evening that a person had been stopped near the Kosovo–Serbia border while driving a tractor.

According to the police’s 24-hour report, the individual was escorted to a police station, where he stated that he and his brother had been cutting wood in the area.

The second individual subsequently reported to the police as well. Following the initiation of a case, both men were released to proceed under regular legal procedures.

“ILLEGAL BORDER CROSSING. Zajqevc village, Kamenica / 18 August 2026 – 20:00. The Kosovo Police received information from the German KFOR contingent that they had stopped a person near the Kosovo–Serbia border who was driving a tractor. A police unit arrived at the scene and escorted the individual to the police station, where he stated that he and his brother had been cutting wood. Following a request to report to the station, the second individual also appeared. In consultation with the prosecutor, a case was initiated and both suspects were released under regular procedure,” the 24-hour report stated.
