Kosovo’s Foreign Minister Glauk Konjufca has arrived at the Kosovo Specialist Chambers in The Hague, where the verdict in the trial of the former KLA leaders is expected to be announced today.
Konjufca has already entered the court premises. Speaking to reporters before entering the courtroom, he said that dozens of international figures had witnessed what he described as the just defensive war fought by Kosovo Albanians.
“That war was waged by the KLA. The army was led by its General Staff, and there was never any joint criminal mechanism within that staff,” Konjufca said.
He added that Kosovo is expecting only one outcome from today’s proceedings: an acquittal.
