The sixth attempt to constitute the Kosovo Assembly failed on Friday, after the candidate from the Vetëvendosje Movement, Albulena Haxhiu, did not receive enough votes.

Haxhiu secured only 57 votes in favor—four short of the 61 required to be elected Speaker of the Assembly. This marks the fourth consecutive time she has failed to gather sufficient support for the role.

A total of 46 MPs voted against her, while three abstained.

The next session is scheduled to take place on April 27, starting at 10:00 AM.
