Kosovo’s new Assembly has voted to establish a temporary committee tasked with verifying the mandates of newly elected deputies, marking another step in the constitution of the new legislature.
Following the vote, the Assembly session was suspended for 30 minutes to allow the committee to prepare its report.
The next items on the agenda include the swearing-in of deputies, followed by the election of the Assembly Speaker and deputy speakers.
The proceedings are part of the formal process of constituting Kosovo’s new Assembly and paving the way for the establishment of the country’s new institutions.
