Kosovo citizens will be able to travel to Israel without a visa starting May 5, 2025, following the ratification of a visa-free agreement between the two countries, Israeli Ambassador to Kosovo Tamar Ziv announced.
In a post on platform X, Ziv confirmed that the agreement was finalized on the fourth anniversary of Israel’s recognition of Kosovo.
“I am pleased to announce that the Visa Waiver Agreement has been ratified on the fourth anniversary of Israel-Kosovo Diplomatic Relations. From May 5, 2025, Kosovo citizens can travel to Israel as tourists without a visa,” she wrote.
Strengthening Bilateral Ties
Israel recognized Kosovo on February 1, 2021, following the Washington Agreement on economic normalization between Kosovo and Serbia, brokered during Donald Trump’s administration.
This visa liberalization marks another step in strengthening diplomatic and economic ties between the two nations.
