The counting of ballots from voting in Kosovo’s diplomatic missions has begun.
Valmir Elezi, spokesperson for the Central Election Commission (CEC), stated that on February 8, voting took place in 30 diplomatic missions with a total of 43 polling stations. Out of 20,304 registered voters, 15,352 exercised their right to vote.
“The counting process is transparent, and observers have been notified in advance. Once the count for any polling station is completed, the results for political entities and parliamentary candidates will be promptly displayed on the platform ‘rezultatet2025.net,’” Elezi said.
Following the diaspora votes from diplomatic missions, the counting of postal votes will begin.
“After completing the count of votes from diplomatic missions, we plan to start counting ballots received via postal voting. According to the data, over 63,000 envelopes containing ballots have been approved following the evaluation process,” Elezi added.
Subsequently, conditional votes and those cast by persons with disabilities will also be counted.
