The Kosovo Police, through its Directorate for International Police Cooperation, in coordination and cooperation with other relevant Kosovo Police units and judicial institutions, extradited Kosovo and Swedish citizen E.K. from Kosovo to Sweden on July 9, 2026.
The suspect had been arrested by the Kosovo Police after being the subject of an INTERPOL international arrest warrant issued by the Swedish judicial authorities on charges of drug trafficking.
The extradition was carried out in accordance with the applicable laws and through close cooperation between the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo and the Swedish authorities.
