The Kosovo national football team has made a historic leap in the FIFA rankings.
The “Dardanians” have climbed two positions in the new rankings, which were published today, as reported by RKS.NEWS.
As a result, Franco Foda’s team moves from 101st place to enter the Top 100 for the first time, now ranking 99th with 1219.82 points.
Ahead of Kosovo are Belarus, while Armenia follows behind.
Kosovo defeated Lithuania 1-0 in November, and also delivered a fantastic performance against Romania, drawing 0-0 in a match interrupted by racist chants from Romanian fans. The match was later officially recorded by UEFA with a 3-0 result in favor of Kosovo.
Meanwhile, the Albanian national team has not moved in the rankings.
Despite a loss to Ukraine (1-2) and a draw with the Czech Republic (0-0), the “Red and Blacks” remain in 65th place. Sylvinho’s team is surrounded by Jordan, which they surpass, while Burkina Faso is below them.
There were no changes in the Top 5 of the FIFA rankings. World champions Argentina continue to lead, followed by runners-up France, European champions Spain, and then England and Brazil.
