The Assembly of Kosovo has approved in second reading the draft law on financing water resource management, marking another step in strengthening environmental governance and infrastructure in the country.
The legislation was adopted with 68 votes in favor, with no votes against or abstentions.
The new law is expected to regulate and improve the financial framework for managing Kosovo’s water resources, including investments in infrastructure, sustainability measures, and institutional coordination.
Its adoption comes as part of broader efforts to modernize public resource management and align with European environmental standards.
