Kosovo Police intensified road controls across the country from February 17 to 23 as part of the “ROADPOL 2025” initiative, aiming to enhance traffic safety and prevent accidents.
The operation focused on trucks and buses, resulting in 1,168 vehicle checkpoints and inspections of 1,367 transport vehicles. Authorities identified various violations and issued 362 fines for traffic offenses.
“In the framework of the ROADPOL 2025 activities, Kosovo Police increased presence and inspections on all national roads to improve traffic safety. The focus was on monitoring freight and passenger transport vehicles (trucks & buses). As a result, traffic units carried out 1,168 control points, checking a total of 1,367 transport vehicles, and issued 362 fines for various violations,” the police statement reads.
ROADPOL is a European network of traffic police forces that conducts coordinated road safety operations across EU and partner countries. The latest operation in Kosovo reflects authorities’ commitment to improving road safety and enforcing traffic regulations.
