Acting Chief Prosecutor of Kosovo, Besim Kelmendi, held a meeting with chief prosecutors and representatives of various prosecutorial offices, emphasizing the need for greater efficiency in handling criminal reports.
Focus on Case Processing and Technological Advancement
The meeting addressed key professional matters, including the timely processing of criminal reports, particularly those involving unidentified perpetrators. Kelmendi also highlighted the importance of prosecutors’ involvement in the destruction of confiscated narcotics, ensuring compliance with the Criminal Procedure Code.
Another significant discussion point was the advancement of the Case Management Information System (SMIL). Kelmendi stressed the necessity for chief prosecutors to fully integrate and utilize this system to enhance the transparency and effectiveness of prosecutorial work.
