Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti has announced that Kosovo has secured €206.4 million in financial support from the European Union through the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) programs.
According to Kurti, the EU officially informed Kosovo that the IPA Committee has approved projects proposed by Kosovo under the IPA 2026 and IPA 2027 programs, with a total value of €180.5 million.
He emphasized that a significant portion of the funds will be allocated to infrastructure projects.
“Around half of the funds will go toward infrastructure investments. Most of the projects will be implemented in cooperation with development partners and through co-financing from our institutions,” Kurti wrote.
According to the acting prime minister, the approved funds will support the development of strategic sectors, the implementation of projects aimed at improving infrastructure, and strengthening institutional capacities in Kosovo.
