At the end of this month, the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) will close the competition for recruiting 60 active soldiers from non-majority communities—an opportunity and a challenge to serve their country. For all interested young men and women aged 18–25, these remaining days are the final chance to apply. So far, about 50 candidates from non-majority communities have submitted their applications to become part of the active KSF ranks.
The extension of the application deadline until October 31, according to Asllan Kryeziu, Advisor for Communities in the Ministry of Defense, aims to provide more time for interested candidates.
“I invite all members of non-majority communities to apply and become part of one of the most trusted institutions in the country—the KSF,”
said Asllan Kryeziu, Advisor for Communities in the Ministry of Defense.
Kryeziu explained that since the representation percentage of non-majority communities in the KSF has decreased, such a recruitment call was much needed. He emphasized that this is an opportunity for young people to contribute honorably in service to the country and to represent their communities within a highly credible institution.
“We found it reasonable to open a special competition solely for non-majority communities—this time for 60 members—so the competition would be more accessible. At the same time, every new member who joins the force directly contributes to increasing the representation percentage of these communities within the KSF,”
added Kryeziu.
The Ministry of Defense calls on all interested individuals from non-majority communities, especially women, to apply and become part of the Kosovo Security Force.
