Kurti Travels to Vienna One Day After Elections, Prime Minister’s Office Explains Purpose of Visit

Acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, traveled to Austria today on an official visit, one day after parliamentary elections were held in Kosovo.

According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, Kurti will hold high-level institutional meetings during his two-day visit to Vienna.

He is expected to meet with Christian Stocker, Chancellor of the Republic of Austria, and will also participate in the Vienna Economic Forum.

The Prime Minister’s Office stated:

“The Acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, traveled today on an official visit to Austria. During the two-day visit, among other engagements, he will be received by the Chancellor of the Republic of Austria, Christian Stocker, and will participate in the Vienna Economic Forum.”

The visit comes shortly after Kosovo’s June 7 parliamentary elections, with official results showing Kurti’s party, Vetëvendosje Movement, finishing in first place.
