According to the latest data from the National Center for Border Management (QKMK), long lines have formed at Kosovo’s border crossings, especially at Dheu i Bardhë and Merdare.

At the Dheu i Bardhë crossing, the current wait time to exit Kosovo is around one hour.

Meanwhile, at Merdare—one of the most heavily used border points by the diaspora—waiting times range from 1 hour to 1 hour and 10 minutes, depending on vehicle traffic.

On the other hand, all other border crossings in the country are operating smoothly, with minimal delays of 3 to 5 minutes, authorities report.

The QKMK urges citizens to plan their trips according to the current border situation and, if possible, to use alternative border crossings to avoid long queues.

These delays are due to a significant increase in vehicle traffic, particularly on weekends and during the return of diaspora members to their countries of residence and work.
