The Montenegrin Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) in opposition has called on Prime Minister Milojko Spajić to disclose the criteria used to select the teachers and students from Montenegrin schools who participated in the reception hosted by Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić.

On the occasion of Serbian Unity, Freedom, and National Flag Day, Vučić hosted a reception for students and teachers from elementary schools and municipal heads from Montenegro and Republika Srpska, telling them that “Serbia is their home.” DPS invites Spajić to present to the Montenegrin public the criteria used for selecting the Montenegrin teachers and students, so that politically appointed municipal heads, who do not recognize the state of Montenegro and its symbols, joined the event organized by Vučić.

The party added that Spajić is obliged to respond to who is behind that institutional scandal and the mockery of Montenegrin education, as reported by Vijesti.

“Montenegro is the home of all its citizens, whose schools have never employed people based on nationality, nor have students declared their nationality or religion,” said DPS.

Therefore, they emphasized, Spajić is required to explain who, when, and how chose the “delegation” that participated in the political mentoring from the side, intentionally mocking Montenegro as a civil state.

“And with the aim of informing the regional public that Montenegro has deeply entered into the process of ethnofederalization, under the mentorship of Belgrade, from whose leader the people’s government was formed in Montenegro, causing permanent damage to society and the state,” the DPS statement added.
