The outgoing Minister of Finance, Hekuran Murati, stated that the 13th continuation of the Kosovo Assembly’s constituent session will resume exactly where it left off with the vote for the Commission responsible for conducting the secret ballot.
“I hope and wish, as always, that the opposition has reflected so we can move forward and unblock the institutions. Since the beginning of the constituent session, we’ve made every effort to offer solutions and ideas to overcome the deadlock. But we’ve seen a lack of reflection. Now there is a blockade, a barricade from the opposition, insisting that the candidate be changed essentially demanding that VV’s constitutional right as the winning party not be respected.
The session will continue from the point it was left which is the lack of quorum to decide on the vote for the Commission for the secret ballot. It’s impossible to deviate from this course because, as in the last two or three attempts, the session had to be interrupted due to lack of quorum,” Murati said.
Today marks the 13th attempt to constitute the Assembly following 12 consecutive failures.
