Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will travel to the United States on Saturday, according to a senior Israeli official cited by Reuters.
The official said Netanyahu hopes to meet with U.S. President Donald Trump during the visit, but it remains unclear whether the meeting will take place, according to Sky News.
The two leaders last met in person at the White House in February.
So far, Israel has not joined the United States in launching new waves of strikes against Iran.
Meanwhile, Israel’s separate conflict with Hezbollah, the Iran-backed militant group based in Lebanon, has become significantly calmer following a ceasefire agreement reached on June 26.
Israeli and Lebanese officials resumed peace talks in Rome on Tuesday as part of efforts to maintain stability along the border.
