Leader of the Lumir Abdixhiku has stated that the LDK considers discussions with Prime Minister Albin Kurti officially concluded, after failing to reach an agreement on the presidential issue in Kosovo.
Abdixhiku said the party cannot discuss a president “of Vetëvendosje,” adding that no solution was reached despite weeks of talks.
“From this moment, LDK considers this issue closed,” he said.
He explained that attempts to find a compromise lasted 53 days, but no agreement was reached on the presidency or further government arrangements.
“We agreed not to meet anymore,” Abdixhiku added.
The breakdown of talks increases political uncertainty as the constitutional deadline for electing a president approaches.
