Pakistan’s Foreign Minister, Ishaq Dar, has confirmed that his country and India have reached a ceasefire agreement, thus validating the earlier announcement made by U.S. President Donald Trump.
In a post on the social media platform X, Dar emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to peace in the region, as well as its dedication to protecting the country’s integrity and sovereignty.
“Pakistan has always strived for peace and security in the region, without compromising its sovereignty and territorial integrity,” Dar wrote.
This agreement followed a night of intense negotiations mediated by the United States, which President Trump announced on his Truth Social platform, calling it a “complete and immediate ceasefire.”
