Pakistan says it is still awaiting an official response from Iran regarding whether it will send a delegation to participate in the second round of peace talks with the United States in Islamabad.

Pakistan’s Minister of Information, Ataullah Tarar, stated in a post on X that Iran’s decision to join the talks before the expiry of the two-week ceasefire is “critical.” He added that Pakistan has made sincere efforts to convince the Iranian leadership to take part in the upcoming negotiations.

The Pakistani Foreign Ministry has also called on both the United States and Iran to extend the current two-week ceasefire, stressing the importance of continued diplomatic engagement.
