Prishtina Municipality Bans Vehicle Traffic Toward Gërmia Park on May 1st

In celebration of May 1st, International Workers’ Day, the Municipality of Prishtina has decided to implement temporary measures to ensure public safety and tranquility.

According to a statement issued by the municipality, all vehicle traffic toward Gërmia Park will be prohibited tomorrow.

This decision excludes certain categories of vehicles, including buses of line 4 operated by the public transport company “Trafiku Urban”, police vehicles, KFOR and EULEX vehicles, emergency services, as well as vehicles from local service institutions such as “Pastrimi” (waste management), “Gjelbër” (greenery maintenance), and municipal inspectors.

The announcement emphasizes that citizens wishing to reach the Gërmia swimming pools will only be allowed to travel via line 4 buses of Trafiku Urban, which will be the exclusive mode of transport allowed on that day.

Dear citizens,

To preserve order and ensure the smooth conduct of activities on the occasion of International Workers’ Day – May 1st, an executive order has been issued by the Mayor of the Capital, which states:

All private vehicles are banned from heading toward “Gërmia” Park, except for:

  • Line 4 buses operated by “Trafiku Urban”
  • Police, KFOR, and EULEX vehicles
  • Emergency vehicles, “Pastrimi” (waste), and “Gjelbër” (greenery services)
  • Municipal inspectors and authorized authorities

Citizens may reach the Gërmia swimming pools exclusively using line 4 of Urban Traffic.
