The Directorate of Economic Development in the Municipality of Peja has decided to indefinitely postpone the public discussion on the draft regulation proposing a €1 accommodation tax for tourists visiting the Rugova Mountains. The meeting was initially scheduled for today.

According to an announcement by the Municipality of Peja, the postponement comes as a result of the need for additional joint consultations with tourism experts and accommodation businesses operating in the region.

“The Directorate of Economic Development informs you that after extensive discussions with issue experts, the inspection staff, and private sector representatives from tourism and hospitality, we have decided to postpone the public consultation on the Draft Regulation for the accommodation tax in the Municipality of Peja, originally scheduled for 30.04.2025, to an indefinite date,” the Directorate stated.
