Following the recent Albania–Serbia match, the Red and Black Fans (Tifozat Kuq e Zi) issued a strong statement condemning the ban on national symbols in the stadium and accusing the Albanian Football Federation (FSHF) of submissive behavior toward Serbian interests, Rks News reports.
In their statement, the fan group criticized the strict security checks and the confiscation of shirts and scarves with patriotic inscriptions such as “O sa mirë me qenë Shqiptar!” (“How great it is to be Albanian!”), “Prishtina,” “Kosova,” and the flag of the Kosovo Liberation Army (UÇK), which they called sacred and a legitimate symbol to be displayed in any stadium where the national team plays.
They warned that they will never stop defending their identity and national symbols, vowing to resist every attempt to censor them in stadiums. They accused the FSHF of displaying an inferiority complex toward Serbia and betraying national interests.
The fans also expressed their willingness to face any fine in order to protect the UÇK flag, emphasizing that their passion for the national team is eternal — unlike federation officials, whom they view as simply doing a job.
In conclusion, they expressed confidence that Albania will triumph in future matches and declared that friendship with Serbia is not possible, stating firmly, “We’ve beaten the Serbs before and we’ll beat them again.”
