CRTA reports irregularities
Election observers from CRTA reported several isolated incidents during the repeat voting that they said could have influenced voters’ choices.
The reported irregularities included alleged vote-buying, the keeping of parallel voter records and the presence of unauthorized third parties inside or near polling stations.
CRTA also reported that voter turnout had reached 43.6 percent by 7 p.m.
The repeat vote was held to address polling stations where the original results could not be confirmed or where the electoral process had been invalidated.
