The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia has reported that two individuals were arrested for disturbing public order during a gathering of thousands of people to welcome students in Belgrade on Friday evening.

Authorities stated that a number of tractors were damaged near Pioneer Park.

“At the peak of the gathering at all locations throughout the city, the total number of people gathered from all parts of Serbia, as well as those who welcomed them in Belgrade, was around 31,000, according to police estimates. There were no major incidents, and the Ministry urges all participants to continue protesting peacefully,” the statement said.
