One of the most notorious figures in Balkan organized crime, Bosnian national Nermin C., founder of the banned gang United Tribuns in Germany, has been released in Bosnia and Herzegovina only weeks after being extradited from Switzerland.
According to the Swiss newspaper “SonntagsBlick,” authorities considered him one of the most dangerous organized crime figures in Europe. He is accused of involvement in an international prostitution and human trafficking network.
Swiss investigators also suspect that he lured an underage girl from Switzerland into prostitution.
Nermin C. spent approximately three years and eight months in Swiss prisons before being extradited to Bosnia and Herzegovina on March 31, 2026, following a request from Bosnian authorities.
However, only weeks later, a court in Sarajevo decided to release him under restrictive conditions.
Although he is officially prohibited from leaving his residence and from contacting certain individuals, he has reportedly reappeared on social media showcasing luxury villas and sports cars, including a red Ferrari.
The report highlights long-standing concerns among investigators that Bosnian authorities may be treating Nermin C.’s criminal network too leniently.
His brother, known as “Boki,” who was reportedly considered the “world president” of United Tribuns, had also previously been released in Sarajevo after serving only one year in prison.
According to Swiss media, the brothers’ network managed to expand across the Balkans for years despite international arrest warrants and ongoing investigations.
