They killed 24 Bosniaks.
Ten former members of the Republika Srpska Army are accused of murder, torture, persecution and other inhumane acts.
The court assessed that the prosecution managed to prove that the accused killed 24 Bosniaks in the towns of Alići and Ekići near Bosanski Novi in June 1992, who had previously been forced to leave their homes. They then beat the men with rifle butts, fists and feet while the women and children looked on.
Before the war, about 40 percent of Bosniaks lived in the municipality of Bosanski Novi, and today they make up 27 percent of the population. After the war, the Republika Srpska authorities renamed this municipality, which is now called Novi Grad.
