The Croatian Minister of Defense, Ivan Anušić, met with the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for European and NATO Affairs, David Baker, during the Munich Security Conference in Germany.

Anušić stated that during their meeting, he emphasized that the key to the security of Southeastern Europe is Kosovo, and that the presence of the U.S. military in Kosovo through KFOR is extremely important.

“I met with the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for European and NATO Policies, David Baker. I specifically emphasized that the key to security in Southeastern Europe is Kosovo, and that the U.S. presence through KFOR is extremely important,” wrote Anušić.

He also highlighted that Croatia is strongly committed to equipping and modernizing the Croatian Army, in collaboration with the United States, stating that Croatia is equipping its Armed Forces with Bradley vehicles, Black Hawk helicopters, and the HIMARS rocket system.
