The Institute for Crimes Committed During the War in Kosovo (IKKL) has published the authentic testimony of Nazlije Selim Selimi, who was only 11 years old when she survived the Small Hallaq Massacre.

In a testimony recorded just days after the atrocity, Nazlije recounts the tragic moments when Serbian forces killed her father and dozens of other villagers. According to IKKL, her testimony stands as a powerful reminder of the suffering endured by thousands of Kosovo Albanian civilians during the war and serves as a call to ensure that the truth is documented, preserved, and never forgotten.

The Institute emphasizes that preserving the testimonies of survivors is essential for documenting war crimes and bringing justice one step closer for the victims of the conflict.

The video has been published with the explicit consent of Nazlije Selim Selimi and forms part of the Institute’s archive. The material was donated to IKKL by Norwegian journalist Paul Refsdal.
