⚖️ Former Hague Tribunal investigator Nevenka Tromp has shared her assessment regarding the upcoming verdict of the Kosovo Specialist Chambers against former senior leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA).
In an interview with Radio Free Europe, Tromp said she expects a compromise outcome, suggesting that “some will be acquitted and others convicted,” in order to balance expectations from both the Kosovo and Serbian sides.
She noted that the only remaining question is the final configuration of such a decision.
The trial of Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi, and Rexhep Selimi concluded in February, while the verdict originally expected in May has been postponed to July 20 due to the complexity of the case. The court has also indicated that further delays remain possible.
