The U.S. State Department, specifically its Counterterrorism Bureau, has thanked Kosovo for its decision to designate the Iranian organization IRGC as a terrorist organization, reports Rks News.
“We thank Kosovo for standing against terrorism and for designating the IRGC as a terrorist organization,” the State Department stated.
The Government of Kosovo declared the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran a terrorist organization during a meeting held on April 20 in Prishtina.
Prime Minister Albin Kurti said that “through this decision, Kosovo strengthens its position in protecting international security, democratic values, and human rights.”
“This is a clear alignment of Kosovo with its strategic allies in the joint fight against terrorism,” Kurti stated.
