Kosovar mountaineer Uta Ibrahimi has completed an extraordinary achievement by successfully summiting Kanchenjunga, one of the most dangerous peaks in the Himalayas, thereby joining the elite global circle of climbers who have reached all 14 of the world’s 8,000+ meter peaks.

According to Acting Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Hajrulla Çeku:

“Uta becomes the first person from the Balkans and the first Albanian woman to climb all 14 of the world’s highest mountains.”
