A day after the triumph in the partial local elections, the president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, reacted to the opposition’s claims of irregularities in the process.
The Serbian leader seems to be sure of his victory and therefore declared that to extinguish these rumors it is necessary to allow the opening of all the boxes of election materials for anyone who has doubts.
“Everyone who wants to review everything should be allowed, so everything should be transparent. You can count them 100 times, however you want. Of course, there are no irregularities,” said Vucic.
he opposition held a protest in Belgrade and Nis, with the request to have access to the election material.
Parliamentary and local elections in Serbia were held last December, but their results were disputed in 88 cities, municipalities and districts, where they were repeated on June 2.
