Weekend Brings Record Influx at Morinë Border Crossing – Passionate National Team Fans Arrive Too

This weekend marked the busiest period so far at the Morinë Border Crossing for the summer season, with around 56,000 people crossing the border over the past two days.

According to official data, 45,701 individuals entered Albania, primarily vacationers from Kosovo, North Macedonia, and the Presheva Valley, seeking to enjoy the warm June days along the Albanian Riviera.

In addition to tourists, the weekend also saw the arrival of passionate fans of the Albanian National Football Team, who entered the country to attend the high-profile Albania–Serbia match.

On the exit side, 10,805 individuals and 3,467 vehicles were registered leaving Albania. Meanwhile, 14,619 vehicles were counted entering the country a strong indicator of the growing tourism wave, expected to intensify further in the coming weeks.

Border authorities have stated that all necessary measures are in place to manage the high flow of travelers. With this surge, Albania appears to be officially entering the peak of its tourism season, with rising numbers of vacationers and increasing international interest.
