Xherdan Shaqiri Looks to the Future, Buys Shares in Swiss Club

Albanian football star Xherdan Shaqiri has purchased shares in the Swiss club Rapperswil-Jona, which competes in the third tier of Swiss football.

The Swiss club announced the news on Tuesday.

Shaqiri, speaking to the club’s website, said he is planning his professional future with Rapperswil-Jona.

“By joining Rapperswil-Jona, I want to prepare for my journey after my career as a footballer. This includes getting to know the club’s structures. For me, Rapperswil-Jona is the ideal club for this. It is a good club, with a beautiful stadium and a long tradition,” Shaqiri said.

He looks forward to starting his cooperation with the club’s management.

“There will be serious work, youth development, integration, and social commitment,” said the 33-year-old.
