A total of 515 new recruits of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) were sworn in during a formal ceremony, pledging allegiance to the Republic of Kosovo, respect for the country’s Constitution and laws, and commitment to fulfilling their mission in service of their homeland.

The ceremony was attended by Kosovo Assembly Speaker Albulena Haxhiu, Prime Minister Albin Kurti, Defence Minister Ejup Maqedonci, KSF Commander Lieutenant General Bashkim Jashari, the recruits’ families, representatives of local institutions, and international officials.

According to a statement from the KSF, the group of 515 recruits is the largest generation to join the force to date.

“This generation, comprising 515 recruits, the largest to date, marks an important step in the development and strengthening of the KSF, contributing to the advancement of human resources, increased operational readiness, and the preparation of new professional and disciplined personnel to fulfil the force’s mission and meet security challenges,” the statement said.

The swearing-in ceremony marks the beginning of a new military journey for the young men and women, who will continue developing their professional skills through training, discipline and dedication.

The KSF described the occasion as both an individual responsibility for each recruit and a shared commitment to protecting Kosovo’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and citizens.

The force also reaffirmed its commitment to investing in human resources, strengthening professionalism and advancing its defence capabilities in line with its strategic objectives and NATO standards.

The KSF wished the new recruits success as they begin their military careers.
