Albania has officially signed an agreement with the Board of Peace to participate in the International Stabilization Force (ISF) in Gaza, formalizing its commitment to the international mission.

The agreement was signed on Friday, October 23, at the General Staff headquarters of the Albanian Armed Forces in Tirana.

It was signed by Albanian Armed Forces Chief of General Staff Arben Kingji and ISF Commander Jasper Jeffers. The ceremony was attended by Defence Minister Ermal Nufi and US Ambassador to Albania Eric Wendt.

In a social media post, Nufi said Albania, as a founding member of the Board of Peace, was reaffirming its commitment to international efforts to establish peace and security.

“Albania reaffirms its commitment to contributing to international efforts to establish peace, guarantee security and create the conditions for lasting stability in Gaza,” Nufi wrote, sharing photographs from the ceremony.

Albania is one of the founding members of the Board of Peace, an initiative launched by US President Donald Trump to address conflicts and support post-conflict stabilization.

The Board was formally established in January 2026 during the World Economic Forum in Davos, with its initial focus on stabilization and transitional governance in the Gaza Strip.

On January 22, 2026, Albania’s Parliament approved the country’s membership in the organization with 110 votes in favour.

At the Board’s inaugural meeting on February 19, Prime Minister Edi Rama confirmed that Albania would contribute military troops and police personnel to the international stabilization force in Gaza.
