The creator of the symbolic independence monument NEWBORN, Fisnik Ismajli, has announced the new artistic concept that will mark the 18th anniversary of Kosovo’s independence.
According to Sinjali.com, Ismajli revealed the concept through a social media post, referencing the Japanese art of repairing broken objects using gold. The philosophy behind the concept symbolizes healing, resilience, and increased value after overcoming challenges.
The newly introduced theme is widely interpreted as reflecting Kosovo’s journey since independence, emphasizing the country’s growth and strengthening through various historical and social challenges.
The NEWBORN monument, located in Prishtina, is redesigned every year to commemorate Independence Day. Each transformation delivers distinct artistic and social messages, highlighting key moments and developments in the country’s ongoing state-building process.
