Kosovo’s caretaker Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, expressed his satisfaction following the conclusion of the session and the constitution of the Kosovo Assembly, reports KosovaPress.

Kurti described the development as an achievement and said that they would also be ready to vote for Vlora Çitaku once the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) formally nominates her in the Assembly.

“It is good that the Assembly has been constituted. The second deputy speaker of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo belongs to the Democratic Party of Kosovo. Whenever they are ready to nominate Ms. Vlora Çitaku, we will immediately vote for her. Congratulations to everyone on the constitution of the Assembly!

So, approximately three months after the February 14 snap elections, the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo has been constituted for the eighth legislature, whereas you know that last year it took eight months after the elections for the Assembly to be constituted. This time, instead of eight months, it took three.

Naturally, it would have been better if it had happened even earlier, but congratulations to everyone, because nevertheless this is an achievement that must now be followed by the formation of the government,” Kurti said.
