Kyrylo Budanov, head of the Ukrainian President’s Office, announced that a Ukrainian delegation has departed for Geneva to participate in the next round of negotiations with the United States and Russia.

“On our way to Geneva. The next round of negotiations awaits. Alongside my colleagues, we will discuss the lessons of our history and seek the proper conclusions. Ukraine’s interests must be protected,” Budanov stated. He shared a photo of the delegation traveling by train en route to Geneva.

In his evening address on 12 February, President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that Ukraine is ready for a new meeting with the Russian delegation to work toward ending the war.

The trilateral talks held in Abu Dhabi on 4–5 February resulted in discussions between the U.S., Ukrainian, and Russian delegations on methods for implementing a ceasefire and monitoring the cessation of hostilities. Following the Abu Dhabi discussions, the U.S. and Russia agreed to resume high-level military dialogue.

Dmytro Lytvyn, an advisor to President Zelensky, confirmed that the next round of negotiations will take place on 17–18 February in Geneva. Rustem Umierov, Secretary of Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council, stated that the Ukrainian delegation has already begun preparations for the talks.
